Where's the chest item?

I don't know if someone has already brought up this point in another thread. I'm sure someone has, but there's little way for me to know. If that is the case, please lock this thread.
So now that the 3DS version is out and we know every item in the game, what happened to this one?

You would think it is an alternate design for the chests found in Smash Run, but this is taken from the Wii U. Besides, you can see Rosalina is in the Wii Fit stage, so it must be an item of some sort. However, there is no chest item to be found on the 3DS version. Btw, this picture was made public after the Smash Direct (4.8.2014), iirc.

So what does this mean? Are there version exclusive items? Is this a new mode we don't know about? What do you think?

Did Sakurai say items would stay consistent in both games? That's a possibility

Oh, for the record, I don't think there was anything resembling that in the 3DS version when it was datamined.

He did say that the 3DS version would have "roughly the same types of Assist Trophies" if it helps.

It looks like the Chests in Smash Run.
What if it's a VERY rare Item in the Wii U version that gives you a ton of trophys,Custom parts, and/or Mii stuff?
