Where to go for Competitive Custom Moves?

I want to enjoy this game again, but it is not nearly as fun for me without custom special moves.

The custom moves competitive environment is something filled with opportunity. To my disappointment, most competitive scenes ban them. I have explored

Is there a place I can go where I do not have to put up with what I have started to call the janksayers?

...if there is none, should we perhaps start one? I could probably get something like that started if I had help.

You can do custom friendlies in Smash Ladder, but there is no "custom meta ladder" around. And getting people to play you is a thing of luck.

Yep, that's been my experience. Tried smashladder, but got sick of what was pretty much just fishing for matches. Even if you do get a customs match, it's basically gentleman's rule, so if they don't like it, they can just turn it off or force the match to end.

That's pretty much all I've seen for options to play with custom moves competitively.

I'm about to head to work, but I had the idea that maybe we could just use a site that lets you set up generic ladder systems. I mean, smashladder is nice, but tbh the format can work for anything.

I need to go to work in like 10 minutes, but from google I found this site:

Will not have the time to investigate if it's what I'm looking for before I head to work, but hey, even if this isn't quite right, there will be other sites like it.

There was an idea thrown around in the Moveset Project thread about setting aside either a sub-forum or dedicated thread for this sort of thing. Hopefully a sub-forum will happen, otherwise we're stuck with Social groups (which I'd forgotten exist until today, and contain two apparently-defunct attempts at this very thing), or finding our own external forum hosting options.

Hey, that actually sounds like a really good idea for a first step! However, I submit I should run it, because I have contact with the discord/skype leaders of every other character and have experience from running the Shulk discord, which has over 200 members.

I've been bugging Anther to set aside a separate bracket exclusively for custom move play, but have never gotten a response out of the guy. It seems like the few of us left really have to bite the dust on this one, unless we can realistically set up an alternative to Anther's.

They managed to get Brawl and Doubles in Anther's, but it took a LONG time and there are no ranked Doubles.
