Where did people get the idea that Lodley-san ("Mr. Lee Road") is Japan's Serebii?

Not to rain on anyone's parade or anything. I have no preferred roster, I'm just interested in getting the facts. I speak Japanese, and when I came across this guy's name on the Wii-DS article that 'confirms' Ridley and Falco, it seemed to treat him as a worthwhile source, but I didn't see anything that puts him at a Serebii-like level of 'trustworthiness'.

I googled his name in Japanese, and found basically nothing - just references to the Wii-DS article.

Where is it written that he's Japan's equivalent of Serebii? What has he leaked in the past? And more importantly, can you link me regarding him? Any bilingual Japanese smashers out there want to point me to relevant sources?

A roster with Ridley strikes me as more interesting than the 'NeoGAF 35', sure, but I'm interested in seeing the evidence first. Does anyone have any?

As best I can piece it together, someone stated on the 'Ridley leak' thread that Lodley-san is like Japan's serebii, with no justification or supporting evidence, and a hundred people who really, really want the 35-character roster to be false started repeating it all at once.

If anyone has something more credible to add about who Lodley-san ("Mr. Lee Road") is, then please post it here.

As far as i know, some random guy said in the thread "But this guy is like the Serebii of japan" or something along those lines, and that's it.

Chronobound said it actually. He was the one who gathered all of the information about the 35 roster and everything around that issue. It seems as though he knows a good deal of info. about our Mr. Lee Road. =D

Seriously. I have been around the 2ch's SSBX threads since a few weeks ago, I have checked some fansites (god.. japanese fansites are plain HORRIBLE, wtf is going on with them..) and I have seen NOTHING about this guy...

Link? I don't remember him saying that. . .I remember "Rekath"something saying that but not CB. As fare as I know CB doesn't read Japanese.:ohwell:

He said it, but only because of the first person that said it on here. He wasn't stating it as fact, more-so as rumor.

on brawl central forums some one off hand when comparing the 35 character rosters credibility with this one he said that the guy in japan has serebii level authority but he wasn't trying to base it in fact he was just trying to get a grasp of the level of comparison. i honestly don't think he ment to say what everyone assumed he said, this guy is credible i think he just ment the japanese are believing it so he must be a reliable leaker if this rumor has made it here to the states and no other ones really have.

but yes you are correct a million ppl just say he's as creible as serebii because they hate the 35 chraacter roster (as do i) but realistically the only credibility this guy has is the fact that we know the japanese are believing him an that the rumors big enough to make it over here...

that is pretty darn credible, but no way to gauge what he's leaked befor or why they r beleiving him (tho remember the japanese airn't dumb or something there is a reason they are beleieving him we just don't know what it is).

am i allowed to link to brawl central cause i think this other guy may have said it first and chronobound was just going on what he had heard EVERYONE there saying after this first guy said it... tho i suppose it's possible both serebii andt his other guy are basing this guys credibility in there own knowledge of him and not just a "hyped" credibility i think just got started in brawl centrals forums on accident.

Maybe his name's not "Lodley", and it's actually Rodley -- Ridley's younger, much smaller brother.:laugh:
He's just trying to hype his big brother!

Again, I don't know more than anyone else. I've just heard that this site isn't the type to put up random so-called prophets.

They put up his ("Lodley's") post saying that he's a commenter on their blog.

Again, I'm seeing zero actual evidence from anyone that this guy has credibility in Japan, other than the fact that Wii-DS was willing to post it.

SamuraiPanda, Kashikomarima****a, you guys have been paying more attention to the Japanese smash community than I have. Seen anything?
