I found one at a Thrift Store in Little Rock Arkansas for $1.

Melee has gotten pretty expensive due to its high demand, but honestly it's still worth every cent it goes for. You aren't likely to find it go for very cheap, but I'd say your best bet (besides what Hisry said) is to ask any people you know who might own the game from their childhood but aren't as interested in video games if they're willing to part with it.

I'll probably resort to that considering the next store with Melee is 50 or so miles away
