Smash 3DS Where can I contact the devs about a problem with the game?

Rosalina is absolutely overpowered. There is no balance with this character whatsoever. At least Little Mac has horrendous recovery to compensate for his crazy ground game. But Rosalina has practically no weaknesses.

- She has long grabbing range

- She can disappear at an instant while dodging which makes her almost impossible to hit. With other characters, at least when they roll or dodge, you can hit them if you time it right, but with Rosalina, that's nearly impossible.

- She has insane recovery

- She can absorb projectiles, which is fundamentally ********. When you're trying to gain an advantage over this character with her little disappearing act, her long range grab, Luma, and long range smashes, it doesn't matter because she can just absorb your projectiles if you try and use them. So basically, gaining any advantage over Rosalina is un-doable.

- and last but not least... She has Luma to help beat the hell out of you at any distance, and Luma respawns after only like 5 seconds, then it comes right back.

This character needs a serious nerf to balance her out. She is absolutely god-tier in this game. Sakurai and friends NEED to nerf Rosalina to balance out this game.

No better than Fox/Falco in Melee, MK in Brawl, etc.

But yea, this belongs in the Rosalina threads. As to answer your question directly, you could maybe complain on the Miiverse page, or contact Nintendo customer support. It is highly unlikely that your individual complaints will go through, and even more unlikely that they'll be acted upon.

Well that's a shame...

Other devs are more in touch with their fanbase to see what problems there may be with the game, but it doesn't look like Sakurai is.

Solution that won't work: Call Nintendo customer support and complain.
Solution that will work: Learn how to optimally play against Rosalina.

He has a language barrier with the majority of his fanbase. Furthermore, his fanbase is larger than the vast majority of fanbases. And for all of Rosalina's strengths, it's still Sheik that is winning the most tournaments.

This. Rosalina is def a problem, but a lot of people have overcome her. And its still early, people are still figuring out their characters

I find Rosie hard to fight against but definitely somewhat easy to adapt against. So far all the Rosie's I fought were.

"Hello? Customer service? Do you have the number to Masahiro Sakurai?"

Can you imagine if we were able to call over problems in Brawl?

One thing Rosalina definitely has against her is the fact that she cannot shoot straight up for her recovery, I've had times where I had to pick my poison: Go under the stage shooting toward it, shoot away, or just die...

You can always complain about it here, that usually makes everyone feel better.

But yeah, Nintendo ain't hearing it

While I agree Rosalina is a bit too powerful in this game, (or it could just be online lag) I think this thread is just based on salty mostly.

Luma can pretty much absorb projectiles as well, unless you say, aim that Water Shuriken at her head. (what I do, only way to hit her) But she can just absorb my fully charged Neutral Special with ease using her Down Special. *ahem* I should really stop talking about Greninja-Rosaluma MU...

I'm not sure what you mean by her disappearing in an instant, do you mean the visual effect of her disappearing, or her Dodge/Roll invincibility frames start on frame one or something?

I agree her Smash Attacks have too much priority for them being hard to (if not impossible) to punish.

You don't think that...possibly, just maybe you are reacting this way a little too quickly? I mean, how long has the game been out now? You can't possibly expect me to believe that you've tried every single possible option available within the game itself.

Sakurai does listen to his fans, he changed a lot of things because of fans. He even put in Mewtwo. You may say that if he really listened to his fans, SSB4 would be more on the competitive side, but Sakurai and most other game developers are going to make a game that they planned on making, their ideas come first. And SSB is made to be a casual party game. You may want to complain about Rosalina, but they are not going to change her, especially this early and when the Wii U version isn't even out. Just give it time. Metaknight got nerfed from brawl (hopefully). If Rosalina is really that OP, then this issue can come up later when the metagame has developed. Sorry for getting a little off topic, but I am a little annoyed by the "change this Sakurai!" when the game is so early in metagame.

You sure about that? Bungie, 343 Industries, the LBP devs, DICE... even the COD devs have their own twitter and forums where fans can reach them.
Smash bros is a fighting game with a much wider audience, but less competitive focus. None of those dev teams are comparable.

You can always consult smashboards for matchup knowledge, though.

People classified Brawl Meta Knight as broken, and there were 5 meta knights in top 8 as opposed to 8 in APEX 2014. Keeping that in mind, even if Rosalina is good, she certainly isn't "a problem with the game" and people will find ways to adapt to her playstyle, especially since the internet only got bigger since Brawl came out.

Of course Nintendo is not going to just hand out the dev team's phone number. There would be no end to the 10 year-olds messaging them that Captain Falcon is to OP because Falcon Punch is too strong, or decrying whichever character the best player they know plays. The game has been out for a matter of weeks, and Nintendo is trying to please an absurdly large and diverse userbase, ranging from small children to professional adults. Just sit back and relax. If and when tournaments become monopolized, then obviously Nintendo should (and likely will) take notice.

Knowing some of the comments on Twitch and Youtube I've seen, they'd probably be complaining about Little Mac being too OP instead, but I'll save that discussion for another day. Point is if you decipher a character and figure out their weaknesses and how to use them to your advantage, suddenly a lot of Rosalinas just got significantly weaker since I can tell you now, only a few of them actually know what they're doing.

Rosa & Luma are pretty top tier. But there's a decent amount of characters that have been made candidates for top tier status so far, and she's just one of them. I agree she's blatantly dumb in this game, but she's not worse than other top tiers in other games, so at least we got that going for us.

She mainly needs lower priority on some things. You guys know she can stop Sonic's spin dash with a single jab? That type of stuff is ridiculous. Also, she should lose control of Luma when she's getting hit.

No but seriously, calling Nintendo/Sakurai will do nothing. Do you think every video game companies will listen to every fans they have, one by one ? Rosalina is just not OP. She's hard to fight, yes, but not OP. You just need to learn how to fight her. The end.

No, they aren't lol
You ever read Blizzard's Battle.net forums? Their forums are 95% full of people ********/complaining about their games in some way. Blizzard encourage this as it's all feedback and it helps them to make their games better.
