Since a new smash comes out around every five or six years, smash 5 is probably confirmed in 2019-2020

(smash4 2014, ssbb 2008, ssbm 2001, ssb 1994)

But instead of theorizing what will happen in the future, lets all focus on playing s4.

Heh, I didn't want you to feel as if I'm bullying you for asking the question. Sorry if you felt like a target.

I was implying tons about what your intentions could've been with this thread, but what I'm implying is what I see from so many others around these parts. Taking tons of time out to talk about what Smash 4 might become, or what the next game might be, or what mods will do to Smash 4. I'm a bit tired of it, mainly because I think Smash 4 is very solid mechanically, and I'd like people to talk about the current game as is.

Threatening to quit buying and playing Nintendo systems solely because they aren't making a game based off a supporting character from the Mario franchise is is called being drastic.

When I'm an old fart who can't play video games. To this day I still play Smash 64, Melee, PM, and SMash 4, and enjoy the heck out of all of them. As long as I enjoy a game, I never quit it. Might play it a bit less often, but my interest is always there.

Really hope there'll be handheld version, I can't afford home consoles.
But Smash 3DS sold really well, so I don't think it's too much of a longshot.

I think I can say that this is my favorite Smash game so far, I'm going to stick with it for a long time.

Depends what you class as 'playing'. I don't play every single week due to work and the like, however, whenever I meet with my buddies we load Sm4sh up and play for a good few hours on a bi-weekly basis.

I played Brawl until Sm4sh came out, so I guess I'll keep going until 5mash. Or until other real life responsibilities take over(kids, etc) depending on which comes first.

Rosalina is a totally overrated character tbh.

Speaking as someone who still plays every Smash (including PM) when given the opportunity; probably never.

I'll stop playing this game if either Snake doesn't return, or a future DLC fighter doesn't click with me on the same level as he did in PM.

Seriously, no character on the roster really feels good to me. Ryu and Villager come close, but I can't seem to find myself sticking to one character I really enjoy. I play the entire roster sub par because there isn't a fighter I've connected well with at all. Back to PM 4evur if a fighter that feels as good as Snake (or IS Snake) doesn't show up. Just waitin' around, really.

I have "stopped" playing Smash dozens of times since it was released (like, go weeks without playing either version)

The real question is when will I stop coming back to it.

And I honestly don't know.

I still play older Smash games every now and then just for the heck of it. I don't think I'll ever truly 100% abandon it.

The next one will probably be its replacement, but yah, too soon to even talk about it. We're still getting new content for this one after all.
