When can we expect Smash Commercials in USA?

Anyone have any idea. It would be cool if they started doing it early and hyping it like Halo did. (Halo started 3 months before release I believe).

Yes, and you can expect another delay. "Sorry, but we think the ads should run a little longer before we release the game. Our new date is 4/28/08."

Melee didn't have any ads, and 64 only had one ad.

Edit: As for a time span, prepare to see Brawl Ads AFTER THE GAME RELEASES. And not a minute before 3.9.08.

I heard part of the delay for the U.S.A. was to advertise and they are advertising it like crazy in Japan. What else could a one month delay be for? They are done with the game it sounds like.

That does sound reasonable. I still think the delay was a bookkeeping decision more than an advertising thing. It wouldn't take that long to string together those Wii ads.

Unless (and this is stupidly unlikely) they're trying to go all out like Halo 3, which would take more than a month of planning.

(imo, you could release the **** game and still do an ad-blitz. *******s.)

I don't think issue is advertising before release but how to advertise. What works in Japan does not necessarily work in America and they probably going to get advice and research from their American team to see what works over here. Also Melee in America was tweaked a little different then the Japanese version from what I hear.

they already have an ad out, it's can wii play ad for wii....they showcase brawl in it.
Does anyone have a link for this? I have yet to see this on TV. But then again, I rarely see any Wii ads, usually just the one with the old guys bowling.

I only saw the Mario Galaxy one once.

Yeah Wii adds are rare. I get the Mario Galaxy, the Metroid 3, and the Old Guys bowling mostly. Saw one once for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Ugh, Wii ads got old after the second one! It's just a bunch of guys jumping around over-exaggerating the Wii controls. I saw a Japanese commercial that practically PRETENDED Brawl had motion control. Sadly, it's somewhat gimmickified by commercials, but when really in play it rocks. I hope Brawl doesn't have the "Wii wood loik te plee" commercials. It really just isn't right for it.

About a week or two before release. Not that they'll matter. We'll already know everything about the game from the Japanese release.

I don't expect to see any Brawl commercials until maybe after the game is out....I wish they would have hyped it up like Halo though, I liked that.

Mario & Sonic got its own add, and I expect King Dedede, Wario, Samus and Lucas kick the beejezus out of each other in a flowery meadow. Did I mention that they are all just guys in poofy costumes?
