(Sorry, couldn't find the poll option. If a mod can implement it...). He, I'm surprised I didn't find a similar thread already.
Finally! all the control scheme are now know. Based on that, what's will be your controller of choice.
As for myself. I had always suspected it, but now I am sure of it: The nunchuck control will be my choice. With the C button for jump and (and maybe reafecting grab to the low D pad). This is for me the most efficient button reparation. And the shake smash is just the thing that ended up convincing me.

Subsidiary question: tap jump ON or OFF? I'm not sure of it yet, but I am leaning to OFF. I'll have to try.

What's your choice?

I am going to master the wiimote due to its supreme portability and when my opponents lose they'll say "He beat me with a wii remote". No pun intended, I hate puns.

I'm going to go with the Gamecube controller with Melee controls. And that Tap Jump function, I might turn it off depending on how often I jump instead of utilt after a lot of testing.

I'd want to play with the Classic Controller to see how that plays out. The main changes I'd make would be for the a, b, y, and x buttons.

a: Jump
b: Attack
y: Special
x: To be determined

I think I'll use the wiimote+nunchuck, Though I'm not sure how comfortable it will be, if not that ,probably GC controller. :)

The interesting thing about the Tap Jump, is that it seems like a nuisance, but when you develop your technical game enough it actually helps in a lot of small situations.

For example: In Melee, the Tap jump was useful for Falco's LHDL, Faco's Shine->Bair/Dair, Fox/Falco's Ledge stalls, Shine cancelling in general, and for Running into a JC upsmash.

I thought a while ago that I might turn it off, because doing Uairs with the control stick is annoying. But with the C-Stick making a return I'll probably leave tap jumping on, unless of course Brawl's characters have no need for it, But I have a feeling they will.

Ther's one that already exists, and I don't mean the one Kok just closed either.

Also, I think you mean favorite controller, not favorite remote ;)
