My 5k PR is 17:33 set back on 7/14/2007. That race was a typical 5k roadrace. It was awsome because it had been the first time I PR'd since City Championships in high school in the fall of 2005 and that PR was a 17:52.50. I totally smashed it and it felt great because I had been longing for a 5k PR for too long. My splits that race were 5:45, 5:46, 5:31 and then 31 seconds for the final 0.10. It was awsome picking people off in the final mile. I went from about 10 place all the way to either 6th or 5th.

It's been over two years since then and once again I want to set a new PR for myself. The problem is I'm not as in good of shape because I stopped running in 2008 for the most part and didn't get started again until May 1 of this year. I'm hoping for a new 5k PR this fall. Just gotta keep running and eating right.

I've never done Cross Country, but I have really bad legs, and I imagine it would take me almost an hour (well, at least 2/3 hour) to try to run that far.

Ive done XC for only one year and my current record is 20:32. Im gonna try to finish every race under 20 minutes next year.

Btw, im way better at just going all out for 1 mile rather than pacing myself for a 3 mile race. My 1 mile record time is 6:05.

So dont hate.
