Hey, dudes. One of my university buddies (cough) @Ed94 (cough) would play Melee occasionally on his laptop, and I eventually asked a bit about it and got hooked. I am a huge fan of deep, mechanical gameplay, and after looking at some of the numbers and min/maxing you guys go through here, I think I'll be right at home.
I'm new to Smash and fighting games in general, but I'm far from a stranger to competitive gaming. I've played Magic: The Gathering at a competitive level for many years as well as competing/captaining in several tournaments for EVE Online.
If there's one thing I love in games, it's getting down to the raw numbers and seeing how far you can push them. When I saw some of the posts for the raw numbers and game mechanics in SSBM, I knew I was in the right place.
As it sits right now, I've been on a semi-hiatus from the competitive scene as I've been exploring and learning more about other games, most namely League of Legends, Go/Weiqi/Baduk, and as you might have guessed, Smash.
I look forward to meeting a lot of you and hopefully learning even more about this crazy game.
