Whats the best methods of practicing alone? Like the best guides and best thing to practice. I used to be pretty good, but my fox is so bad now because i try and do everything perfect and fail doing it. Ever since i saw Dark, i wanted to be perfect and i wanna know what are the best practice routines and guides to get to be frame perfect and do things that i cant even do, like i cant even shine bair and shine upsmash spacies and stuff. And guides to learn tech and stuff.

Well for me I get a extra controller and start a match of stocks no time and practice my techs, the extra controller is to prevent cpu of killing it self or disturbing you.

As fox I practice movement a lot, wavelands and platform movement on all stages is very important. Aside from that, I work on anything that is difficult to execute. Shffling, shield pressure, waveshine, even just dash dancing and shorthops. You can never be too solid on your fundamentals.

There is a limit of where you can get practicing alone, don't practice against 20xx CPUs too much also, it gives bad habits in general.

Practice tech as much as you can

While Jupiter is right, if you have to use 20xx cpus, not tournament

maybe netplay?

You HAVE to get 20xx, the computers are so much better and they have color overlays to show when your doing or not doing something. There are save states so that you can repeatedly practice something without wasting time. The have toggles so you can practice and see what ways you can shield pressure. This is basically the best way to practice alone.

Think about what you want to get better at

Do you wanna learn new tech? Perfect tech? Get better at comboing?

Pick something and focus on it, don't give up just because you didn't get it on the first 100 tries

20XX if you want to practice playing vs someone, either that or netplay. There's no benefit from vanilla level 9's bc you can honestly develop bad habits bc the bots will get punished by things human players won't be punished by. I think just practicing your wavedashes or just your movement around the map and recoveries is important.

Practicing tech in normal melee alone is hard, id reccomend either getting 20xx or setting up netplay and finding people on anthers ladder who want to practice
