What's a move that you think should have a "Tipper" but doesn't?

Doesn't necessarily have to be the tip, but just some sort of specific sweet spot.

It's so satisfying connecting with Ganondorf's Usmash right at the foot on someone falling in, it'd be great if that dealt more damage as a reward.

Don't have a sweet spot, but it seems.

A lot of :4rob:'s moves seem like they should have sweetspots rather than general hitboxes. Anything involving his burner or honestly his arms should deal more damage at the club ends rather than the connector centers.

Greninja should do more damage the closer his attacks are to the 4 water sources located around his body. (elbows and knees)

lucina's sword :troll:
Edit: crap i'm too slow lol

I think because DK lost some of the hitboxes in his arms, he should at least gain more power in his fists and feet in his attacks, and make them mini sweet spots of sorts.
Also, Meta Knight should have sweet spots since his sword hitboxes don't always line up with his model's attacks.

I feel like the slower characters like Ike, Ganondorf, and JPuff deserve some sweet-spot like attacks, just to give them a little bit more of an advantage in battle. Maybe that's just my personal bias speaking though.

Jigglypuff is hardly slow in the air. And she has such great mobility to be able to weave in and out of attack range that she doesn't really need a sweet spot...It's like giving one to Fox.
From what I recall, Ike already has a sweetspot closer to his hilt like Roy used to.
And Ganondorf... yes. Only his usmash has one I think...

Aye, but I mean the majority of their moves. Jiggly is such a light weight character (the lightest if I'm not mistaken), and the majority of her moves do average damage/knockback at best. Getting the KO with something other than rest or a gimp can be really difficult at times. I am aware of the hilt of Ike's blade, afterall I do main the fellow, but seeing as he's a spacing character, that's kind of a weird place to put it. And I don't think any of his aerials actually have that same sweetspot at the hilt, only his Smashes...He also has some shenanigans on his Eruption attack as well as his Aether, but those moves seem so obsolete most of the time. Gannon could use an extra couple percentage points when timed right, especially on his aerials.

I dunno, maybe the sweetspot isn't the best thing to give these characters but I feel like they have a disadvantage in regular play compared to other characters. Some sort of gimmick would be nice.

She doesn't have the tipper on her sword so that shes not exactly marth..
(I know that Lucina hits are stronger then Marth, but has no tips.)

i under stand that, but why make a character with such a disadvantage when compared to Marth. Why not give a different move sets. (quicker attacks but weaker on tips) Why waste a character with a sword and have no tips at all.

you just play at a 100% disadvantage against a good Marth.

We have Lucina and Marth in Smash 4 for the same reason we had Pichu and Pikachu in Melee.

I don't think that needs any more explaining, just think about it and your answer is there.

i see your point on Pichu, but Lucina DOES have some solid positives as a playable character (not as a joke) link (top page)

Looking at the frame data compared between them. link (bottom page)
i can't say this with 100% certainty. but i don't think Sakurai was making this character as a joke or to be at a
disadvantage on purpose. (Pichu 2.0)
It was made for people who cant space properly most of the time, wanting to rack on damage and KO quick.

Again you could be 100% right, but the looks on my end, i dont see it.

I feel like Ike should do more damage near the center of his blade. Like Roy.

but not terrible

Falcon Punch dealing more damage at the center.

Imagine the glory.

I would add Roy and have the base AND the tip of the sword do greater damage! In all seriousness, I would add more of a tipper to Dedede's hammer, it just makes sense because it's, you know...a hammer. Should it not deal more significant damage at its head?
