What would you guys do if Smash 4 needed a kickstarter?

What would you guys do if Smash 4 needed a kickstarter in order for development of the game. Would you guys pay for it? How much would you pay?

Why exactly would one of the most successful crossovers of all time need a kickstarter in the first place?

Regardless I'm pretty sure nearly everyone here would be willing to donate in some form or another.

Paying for the game to be made AND buyin' it? YOU NINTENDO get atta here wit dat ****! Nah cuz... Bills cuz...

Also they gotta promise the tourney-kuns a lil summin-summin'. None of that "we makin' da game for everyone not just the hardcore fans" **** when they payin' the most money. I mean I don't always agree with the "WHY'S THERE NO COMBOS/WAVEDASHIN AND DEPTH"-kuns but if they end up payin' the most money they better be gettin' what they asked for nam sayin'?

Both, it is this smash 4, but it has gotten little into devolopment. Like we saw the first trailer, and then we found out it needed a kick starter.

If smash 4 needed crowdfunding, I doubt they would have 2 consoles out right now. Unless they are not willing to pay for it despite the many console successes. If that was the case, I would not donate.

they're generally for smaller groups without funding, not sure how we would arrive at one of the biggest video game corporations begging for money, inb4 nintendoomed etc.

That said this is kind of a...uh, pointless? question.

If the situation was similar to Keiji Inafune's attempt to carry on the Mega Man franchise spiritually, I would be okay with this but only if Sakurai also outlined a clear plan of what would be in the game and how it would function mechanically.
