i dislike playing in galaxy 64 because my delay is way too high giving my opponent the advantage. If I stop playing at galaxy 64 i'm looking at 1 or 2 matches a month because other servers have scattered players.

anybody out there willing to host a server in the west coast?

i'd also like to use this as a opportunity to state that i can provide tournament/ladder software to be used on a website if anybody wants to use it let me know

yes i know, phreakes server. what i was trying to say is a server for smash like galaxy 64 where people with high ping there can go to the west coast server

ya i know, its so fun to beat the hell out of 7-8 frame delay players on 2 frames

why don't you guys play on lan in galaxy, the server can easily support it.
everyone in europe and japan uses lan.
just found it weird, that's all.

Galaxy has so many people connected, I can see a DS fest if all used LAN, as this connection is quite demanding for the server

then you can play on LAN with less chance of DS

The server should be fine on LAN, the problem is that twice as many packets are sent on LAN than on exc (60 keyframes per second instead of 30), causing more frequent desynchs for unstable connections. It is certainly doable though.

well i get some fine lag with pingas at galaxy.But other than that with people my same ping of around lower i get a perfect no lag game
