What to do against a pillaring falco?

When I play fox players around my intermediate skill level, I generally dont have any problems. I am able to tech chase consistently and able to DI safely out of combos. I have some trouble punishing recovery by otherwise I'm solid. Falco on the other hand drives me crazy. I just can't get out of his combos, specifically the pillar(shine dair shine dair). At percents lower than 50 I'm completely unable to tech and I'm having a lot of trouble DIing out. What do you guys do in this matchup to handle falcos incredible combo game?

I main falco, trust me when I say getting out of a pillar with a character like sheik is not easy but it definitely can be done at percents below 50. My best advice would be to DI in a different direction each hit. The pillar is most effective when the Falco knows an opponents DI pattern, or is quick enough to beat it. So definitely mix that up a lot. I think Ken actually mentioned this in his DI tutorial. I'll post the link below.

Falco punishes the **** out of you but you also punish the **** out of him, so basically hit him instead of getting hit.

Smash DI can be helpful but I wouldn't worry about it until you can already handle Falco in the neutral game.
