So the new nintendo 3ds xl came out today and I'm wondering if I'll be using it alongside the gamecube controller because both have their downsides such as a multitude of quick movements that I just can't perform on the gc controller like this.
I set :GCZ: to jump and have to hop between :GCCD: and :GCA: to throw the blade down and pick it back up so I have to do this pattern over and over :GCR::GCZ::GCCD::GCA: which is very hard to do and with the pro controller, gamepad, new 3ds or classic controller it has a left :GCZ: button so I could set that to attack and be able to pick it up quicker without my thumb going to the other side of the world trying to make it to :GCA: in time, another use for the new 3ds would be practicing inbetween sets at tourneys and transferring customs to any custom legal tourneys, but the gc controller just feels more precise all-around so any tips on this glide toss combo and on the new 3ds being a viable controller option is greatly appreciated.

If they patch out things like glide tossing and perfect pivoting, many people will quit the game competitively.

Do you feel perfect pivoting is an important fundamental to battling, or do you think it isn't necessary to do well? My main, Sheik, is difficult for me to perfect pivot with on the 3DS. Should I invest time into mastering it?

I don't think it's necessary to do well but it helps often and Sheik has some very useful techs in this game that I found from this youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvzWqwp4vXZ3nOInt97QlPA. It helps a lot as I am currently in the lab with Sheik and I want to know as much as I can with this character, check out the Sheik boards for even more things like frame data and all that stuff http://smashboards.com/forums/sheik.470/.

Wow, thank you so much! I will definitely use these websites. Feel free to start a conversation with me on anything you find interesting with Sheik, if you like, and I will as well. Followed. :joyful:
