What tactics should I learn first for a Ganon main?

Starting my conquest into competitive Smash, starting with Project M because I lost my Melee disc and I really do adore Ganon's Flame Choke. But, I need to know what to learn first. I SHFFL my fairs and dairs, and I'm learning to do some Shorthopped Chokes, as I'm told it's a lot harder to tech, but I can't do any of those without first thinking about it. Any ways to either ingrain this into my mind or learn new tricks?

Alle the information you possibly could need is already available. There is an ongoing Meta discussion. I think we're quite lucky as Ganon mains, despite Ganon being "low-tier" - because the Ganon forum is pretty active.

Take a good look at the threads and Videos. You should defnitely watch Ace's and Arty's Ganon, they're pretty slick.

As for your question - get the basics down . SHFFLing, Wavedashing/Wavelanding, Chaingrabs, etc, etc.

Naw man, I'm kinda new to both the Smash Competitive Scene and Smashboards, so I wouldn't have found those even if I tried XD
