What part of his FAir propels targets in reverse?

As any Falcon player knows when ending that combo with his knee instead of propelling your opponent into the smash line in front of you that space fox or gender confused ninja instead goes backwards. If your lucky they'll just cross the smash line on the opposite end of the stage. Worse, and much more common, they're back on the stage.

So what part of Falcon's Knee causes this behavior?

The direction in which the victim is sent is determined by the single center points of the character models: If the victims center is on the left side of the attackers center, he gets sent left. (though some attacks send at an x angle where 90° < x < 180° in which case he is sent right) I think this applies to every non-projectile attack.

So generally both you and your opponents position matters. Reverse hit knee occurs ofc most often if you hit with the innermost part of the knee hitbox, but your opponents char and the way his character is oriented also matters.

It's easier to imagine that the inside or crook of his knee is the reverse hit box. It's hard at first, but you'll develop a natural feel for it as you play more.
