Hello! I'm quite new here, and I'm not sure if this topic has been beaten by a club to an inch of its life yet? I'm sorry if it has:

What modes do you think will show up in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U?

On the official site, they say that you will get multiple customization options through, and I quote, "various modes". That leads me to believe that although Smash Run is specifically for the 3DS, we'll possibly get a mode similar, or quite different in a spectacular way(hence a reason for a further release date next to the HD modeling and what have you).

I can imagine All-Star mode may make a come back, next to classic, but we all already know there will be no story mode. Also to note, there is a challenge mode in the 3DS version, and he said the only mode that is 3DS only is Smash Run. We can basically stick a pin to expect challenge mode for the Wii U as well, quite possibly the new hybrid of homerun and smash the targets. I digress, what are your thoughts?

Hello! Welcome
So yeah, the 3 main modes are confirmed to return which are Adventure, Classic and All-Star. We've also seen multi man where the Miis are the new enemy's, judging by today's potd I can tell there will be a couple of new modes

My question is, is Smash run replacing Adventure mode on the 3DS version or is Adventure mode confirmed for it?

Oh, I wasn't aware that Adventure Mode was confirmed. Judging by the screen on the 3DS, it looks like Adventure Mode might not make it in on the handheld. Although, who can really say, because of the obscurity that is "Smash" mode. That could very well have different modes within that.

Where was this confirmed? I haven't seen any of these modes shown off. Also, where the heck did you see or hear about the Multi-Man Melee mode?

"The new super smash bros will not feature an adventure mode like Subspace emissary" I mean I'm pretty sure Adventure mode is in regardless lol

Classic and multi man were shown in the 3DS E3 trailer

And Sakurai said he wants to add as many assist trophies as possible for All Star mode during the Smash Direct

I checked the E3 trailer and saw what you mean for Classic, but where did you see Multi-Man Melee?

Huh.. I've never really thought about it like that, you could very well be right about adventure mode. I missed the multi man part in the trailer, and I'll be sure to check it out again. Someone said Master Hand was in the trailer, and I looked, but didn't see him. Either way, I wouldn't doubt Multiman Melee is in it, and Possibly break the targets, but imagine if board the platforms made a triumphant return.

I watched it again, and I looked closely and couldn't see the Multiman. However, I did see something that was interesting. It was the section when Fox was walking on a line of a path that could easily be mistaken as Classic mode, or could be just that, but due to the nature of his surroundings this leads me to believe that it is Adventure Mode.

You can see how many are left in the top left, and a Mii swordsman being knocked away

I can kind of see your point, but Multiman Melee usually consists of polygonial figures who carry the attributes of random characters. Seriously though, that trailer made my day, and I'm astounded that I haven't seen that one at all. Also, still wouldn't doubt the inclusion of the Multiman Mode.. Only time can definitely tell and set that in stone.

Lol Miis are the new alloys, come on that's clearly multi man.. It also makes sense cause there are 3 types

Welcome yo. I'm hoping for board the platforms to return it taught people how to use their jumps and recovery options well. Also hoping for the usual modes. I would like a co-op classic mode.

Welllll.. They did show up on battlefield, Multi man's homeground.. It could possibly be. Then the confirmation of Home Run made it all the sweeter.

@ Renji64 Renji64 , thanks :D I agree, that mode was how Bill and Ted would say, "most excellent."

I'm betting an adventure mode similar to melee well be in but with boss characters like in brawl. Possibly the stage bosses like yellow devil, bosses from Brawl, or new bosses altogether. Hopefully co-op as well.
As for bonus stages, I hope for individual target tests, board the platforms, and a return of race to the finish and trophy tussle.
Event and co-op event matches too.
