What lesser known characters have the best chance?

This will probably get locked but I just wanted to discuss this. Many big franchises will have multiple characters in the roster. But smaller lesser known titles like Kid Icarus will be given a role too. Which characters does everyone think Sakurai will introduce us to from lesser known or Japan only titles.

Geno - Definately a top choice. He was requested four separate times on the poll. He is an obscure but well liked Mario character from a well received RPG. I think he could make it if Square lets up the rights. Chances are, they will. But is he iconic enough to make it as playable against the all star cast of Mario characters? Maybe he will be stuck as AT. Who knows?

Takamaru - Starred in the sister game to Zelda. He was requested twice on the poll. They even rereleased his game on the GBA a while back. Sakurai also said that he was checking out some retro games as research and this was one of them.

Sukapon - He was requested twice as well. He was in Nintendo's only side scrolling fighting game before Smash. He also would be rediculously easy to make a character model for. Even easier than Kirby. There is no reason why he shouldn't be included, because he could be made is such a short amount of time.

Demiru - He was requested twice. He is from an obscure RPG on the GBA. Why though? He is unique. He wouldn't be like the ten sword wielders. He would be original. And he's cute.

Actually, this is pretty true.
And I'm not just saying this 'cause Derimu is my most wanted characters for Brawl
Derimu appeared on Sakurai's poll numerous times, and Sakurai also found his submissions and suggestions intrigueing and interesting. I'd reckon he'd be an easy character to come through with as well, seeing that he has so many move possibilities.

And as for Geno, he IS the more popular choice, but the only thing that repeatively lowers his chances is that he's a third party character. I can't comment on the other two selections with you listed, because I have no idea who the h*** they are.

although sakurai is looking into geno i think his chances aren't that high, mainly because of the fact that he is owned by square, which is a tough company to deal with when it comes to matters like this. and as far as polls go, links uncle was on that poll, does that mean he has any chances whatsoever, no...

edit- although if sakurai shows special interest in the character then that would substansally raise his chances

i try to keep it realistic as to characters that stand a good chance

and Sukapon would suck, IMO

I just don't hope he doesn't stick him to AT. But, Demiru is my most wanted character too. I kind of have doubts he will be included just, because his game was so obscure. But 3 Japan only characters isn't bad. (Not counting marth, even though he technically still is)

I think Takamaru has priority over all three. Then Sukapon, because he is easy to create a model for. Then Demiru if Sakurai adds a lot of obscure characters (Which I hope he does. They are a lot more fun than the ones everyone knows!)

I like the other characters that Super Smash Master mentioned, they would be cool. But as ClarkJables said, the problem with Geno is the Square ownership...

i hope one of those three you are talking about is stafy. also i think a fighting robot would be fun for brawl, i now realize that ray01 is a fighting robot and he would work allot better then sukapon, don't you think...

Well, she's realistic to an extent, i know her chances are slim, but she has better reasoning to be in the game than many other (not all) 'lesser known' characters that have been mentioned.

How? I doubt Sakurai even knows who she is. All the characters listed have a better chance because they were not only listed on the poll but listed frequently.

You can have more than one robot. And wouldn't Sakurai rather have one more character, because he can make him quickly? I say yes.

Personally, I'd prefer Ray rather than Sukapon too (and IMO, Ray has more chances), but it would be perfect if both were included, cuz I like both.

I don't think stafy will be in Brawl. He doesn't look like a creative character at all. He is a yellow star. I don't even believe he was on the poll.

And Ray isnt an obscure character. Custom Robo is one of Nintendo's big franchises (Sort of). This thread is about obscure characters. Ray will PROBABLY be a playable character.
