In general I feel that the games that are being represented that have not had recent entries need the most attention. That is to say, I am okay with games like Fire Emblem getting four tracks remastered and then four original creations, versus a dated series like Mother which doesn't really have any music of a quality suitable for the product and thus will need six+ original tracks. Listen to that song and try to tell me it needs to be improved or remixed.

In all seriousness, some melodic trance and mellow dubstep could be nice as BGM. I hope there will be the option of letting us play our own BGM by uploading it. I'll pick the most colorful and seizure-inducing stage and put some intense tracks on it.

I remember I had modded stages and stuff for Brawl+ with custom music. Final Destination was made to change settings faster and with more vivid colors. There was a really upbeat trance track as the BGM and the beat drops made things pretty epic, especially since they tended to occur at the right moment during combat and the color changes and such and I played Ganon a lot. Battlefield was similarly altered, too. I can imagine some uplifting trance or maybe even psytrance on some water stages.

Current titles seem to lean towards Dubstep. Tekken Tag 2 and Sonic All Stars Racing in particular. But dubstep is dead now.
The electric guitar cover of the Dr. Wily theme in Megaman's reveal trailer was so perfect. Just as I always imagined. I love hearing old chiptune tracks played acoustic or electric. But in all seriousness, smash bros music lineup is lacking in the soul department. Can we get some Disco or another DK Rap?

Like in Brawl, I'd love more songs that were redone. That said, if any older stages return, I'd want the original music from 64/Melee/Brawl, maybe unlockable.
EDIT; if Powerglove got hired to maybe remix some themes, I'd be game. Their cover of Dr. Willy is downright amazing. Excuse me while I start head banging.
