I know the demo's only been out for a week or so (For platinum Club Nintendo members); What is your guys' tier list? Mine is:
  1. Mario
  2. Pikachu
  3. Megaman
  4. Link
  5. Villager
Mario and pikachu are both REALLY good.

At this point making tier lists is not reliable because the lack of characters and because the full game is out in Japan, but I can say that Pikachu is a real threat because his grabbing game and his Meteor Thunder, Link improved A LOT, Mario is essentialy the same, Mega Man like many said relies on his projectiles but he can be very unpredictable and Villager is not that scary and Link really counters him/her.
1-Pikachu
2-Link
3-4-Mega Man
3-4-Mario
5-Villager

Mario > Villager > Link > Pikachu > Megaman
Megaman gets blocked by Link's shield, and reflect-killed by Pocket and Cape.

There isn't one because the game is new and we don't know anything.

I mean:

Mario
Pikachu
Villager
Megaman
Link

How I was thinking after demo: Pikachu, Mario, Link, Mega Man, Villager
How it is now: Mario, Link, Mega Man, Pikachu, Villager
Pikachu was one of my mains but he feels nerfed or I just need to get used to controlls (up+b is somehow hard for me to pull of :E )

villager>Mario>Pikachu>link>megaman

villager is awesome (even without relying on pocket). all the veteren are ten times better. megaman......is different, has little combo game in my opinion.

S-Tier: Pikachu
A-Tier: Mario, Link
B-Tier: Villager
D-Tier: Megaman

Pikachu's up-tilt is too good.

1. Villager- Very efficient camping character, his recovery options are obviously the best out of the demo characters
2. Mario- Best character for combos as far as I can tell, can easily string combos 0-50
3. Pikachu- Tilts and throws are very effective, received some other minor buffs
4. Link- Way better than Brawl, slight recovery buff and some of his moves have more kill potential and range than before
5. Megaman- The only character that was lacking in the demo, his specials are utterly useless with big startup times. His aerials and somewhat decent smash attacks prevent him from being completely useless.

I'm not entirely sure on 2-4, but those are my early impressions. Hopefully custom moves are integrated into competitive play, because Megaman's custom specials seem way better than his regular ones.

No offence, but I feel like your tier list is based of who you like more...
That's how I view my tier list. I could care less if certain characters are competitively viable since I don't play competitively. I'm kinda in-between a casual player and a competitive player, not that great but not bad either. Really, when it comes to characters I will play over others, it always comes to popularity. For example, my three of my mains, Shulk, Robin and Lucina come from my two favourite games of all time.

In terms of the demo, I really like using Mario and Mega Man , regardless of whether people think Mega Man is crap or not. I mean, to be perfectly honest, all the character's feel really good compared to how they were in Brawl but I have gravitated towards Mario and Mega Man the most. Mario was a great, well rounded character with several combo options and a solid spacing game. Mega Man gave me a good challenge in terms of mastering his move set and I think I have.

I'm feeling

Villager's Recovery Tier: Mario

B Tier: Link/Villager

C Tier: Mega Man

Link's Recovery Tier: Pikachu

There might be some bias.

I think Mario is the best because he has certain ways to rack up %. Up tilting is pretty effective for a little bit. Bairs are SUPER effective on edge guarding. It can keep a 10%'er off the edge. Altogether his combo, air, and ground game is solid.
