Pretty straight forward question
When you take a stock and your opponent is invincible for a moment on the respawn
I have a hard time avoiding the enemy while they are invincible
I usually try to run off the edge but then my opponent has the advantage as Im trying to recover
What are some strategies you guys use?

Stall them out or mindgame them into thinking you will do one thing and then don't. You can play around along the edge but don't put yourself in a position where they can mess with your recovery. Use platforms to circle camp and be annoying, evade them until it wears off.

I'm pikachu, so I just hold shield, then jump and QA to the other side of the stage. IDK what other characters do lol.

:starman::starman::starman: You obviously start rolling.

It's not like they can read rolls or anything.:joyful:

They expect you to roll backwards? NOPE. Roll forwards. :rotfl:
Unfortunately this strategy works more often than not. Just play general defense and don't try to grab out of shield like I do. derp

It's a secret to everybody
Well, considering that your Main seems to be :4sonic:, just run like the wind, and f*** with your opponent. Jump around them, cricle platforms, mess with your spring, use homing attack in all the wrong places, the list goes on and on. You are the fastest character in the game, so be sure to keep that always at the forefront of your mind and just evade everything for like, 3 seconds.

Toon Link has a Hookshot... So I always retreat offstage and stay below it for a second. This is useless if your opponent punishes you on the way back up.

Just go overly defensive. Spot dodges and air dodges and such. Even hopping on the ledge may help...

Just don't get hit. I know that's not really specific but just roll and spotdodge until they're open again.

You won't have to deal with it if you never KO anyone ever. :3

Or well you could just derp around and not go in until it wears off.

You use Sonic right? In this video at around 7:38 6wx leaves a spring on the top platform of Battlefield after taking a stock https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c2j6M-5KAkA His opponent lands on the spring and is in the air during the respawn invincibility. I don't know if it's guaranteed but it can probably catch people off guard if it isn't guaranteed. I assume you can do the same with Mega Man's up b.

I was aiming more for a generic answer not based on a character
As I do use a vast amount of characters
But thanks for the tips
