What is the best way for Ganondorf to go around Projectiles?

One issue I some times run in to is projectile spam and since Ganondorf has no range we have no choice but to go to them

Its seem like if someone wanted to rack up damage with projectiles they can just keep kiting Ganondorf until he lets down his guard and then do a cheap shot to rack up damage and do it all over again

To use an example wolf… what he does is spam the “B” button and then when Ganondorf get in close depending on the range he can use smash “A”, down smash “A” or roll and get out of the way and use “B” again.

What I have been doing to stop this is to position my self were he’s in my range for a kick from Ganondorf but out of range for him to launch a counter move also I try to go for a grab or use the thunder storm to catch him off guard. But this does not always work I still sometime run in to trouble and not able to get the desired position is there another idea I could use to scare my opponent from using Projectiles?

I have my way please post yours

Depends on who you're fighting.

Wolf's laser doesn't go very far, and if you use a stage with platforms, it'll be easier to avoid it.

Some solid projectiles can be destroyed by attacking them. You can still destroy Samus' missles and Pit's arrows with Thunder Punch, and I think you can destroy a charged Aura Sphere with ftilt.

What do you do if when you face a wolf on Final Destination?

And using Thunder Punch how does that progress you closer to strike an opponent? also is u do that wouldn’t they come for a running “A”?

The ftilt can also stop samus charged shot.

If you spot dodge or perfect shield several times campers usually get frustrated and come to you. Of course if your playing agaist a wolf on FD I found that wolfs laser has the perfect range to F***** with. Just perfect shield the first shot at maximum range then dodge in and do a charge attack immediatly and that should screw them up.

Ah yes...the spot dodge can be performed with nearly NO DOWN TIME in between, rendering you invincible for all but a few milliseconds each spot-dodge, if you do it right. With slower projectiles, this could probably render them useless (or close).

The key is to jump a lot. jump ff jump ff this will really throw your opponent spammer off because after you dodge a few and start approaching he will get nervous. Just stick to your dodge game plan until you force them to make a move. You can get a lot of people to make the first attack just because they start missing.

i have had people who just don't give it up and the start switching there pattern instead of spamming it for example if a pit was spamming the he would charge a little before shooting it what would you do then?

I usually pick a different character. :p

Really though, try to learn powershielding/perfect shielding. That'll probably help you. Otherwise, sidestep and jumping. There's not a superlot Ganon can do against lasers.

It doesn't progress you, but it's helpful and somewhat scary.

"ohi heres missle to ur face"

"*punches it*"

"....oh."

And the jab isn't slow enough for people to go for a dash attack. If they do that, you can probably counter them pretty easily.

A really good way to get around spammers and aproach is a fake. Run in and as soon as they fire jump they will most likley use a melee attack so air dodge behind them and as soon as you see an opening
side-b face plant.
when it comes to Projectile spammers most of the time if i get behind them they would gust use a down smash so aid dodging behind them will get you it trouble

Here are my tips to beat projectiles:

-Pick a stage besides Final D. A great stage is the Battlefield.
-Don't get predictable with your approach. If you roll your whole way to the projectile spammer, he'll see you coming from a mile away. Roll until you are pretty close then try to mix it up.
-Learn to power shield decently well. This is not easy and could take you a few weeks of practice. (I'm not even good at it.)
-The a jab stops a lot of weaker projectiles. (As mentioned in the topic.) Also, the dash attack stops a lot of fully charged projectiles. To do an instant dash attack smash the control stick to start a run and press down on the c-stick at the same time.

Hope these help. In all honesty, thanks to Brawl's campy metagame right now Ganondorf is heavily looked down upon. He has a very tough time with campers.

If the gap you're trying to close isn't terribly far, you can sometimes dash into a perfect shield and then grab or Flame Choke out of the shield.

Well if hes going to roll frequently then wouldnt Flame Choke be a good idea? You just have to read your opponent, its pretty much the best solution to any problem. Once you can anticipate what your opponent will do, then you can plan your attack accordingly.

Ganondorf needs mindgames, dont let your oppoent know what you will do next because if they anticipate it, then you are even more screwed because of Ganondorfs slow attack speed.

But I would say attacks that you could try, if your facing a taller character, like Wolf, a rar might work since Ganondorf's b-air is still pretty quick, but they will probably see it coming. Flame Choke is another option if you think they will roll. And you could try a Wizard's Foot if you think they are going to stay put, it has good priority and I havent tried it yet, but it might out prioritize Wolf's down smash.

Or you can run towards it, powershield, run again, powershield again and so on.

Takes some timing, but it's not superhard.

I like to rapidly use the down-b cause it commonly neutralizes projectiles without any lag and can be used to approach, then when u get close, throw in a side-b since they always shield thinking they are gonna get down-b.

Hem... be campy if you dare, but until Ganon stucks you at the side of a stage, you have to react quick. Cause it's an evidence of ignorance to tell Ganon has no approach moves. If you're not ZSS with her cursed Side-b (but in this case, no good projectiles lol) how do you react against a well spaced Flame Choke ? and don't try to outspeed it with a smash or so cause in this case you may just get a Wizard Quick in the kisser instead. and if you plan to jump above it, FEAR a well spaced skull crusher !

WHO CAN FLEE GANON WHITHOUT LAYING HIS GUTS ON THE WAY ?

(I got a bit nervous here)
