What is it with Fox/Falco and getting new VAs every game?

It seems like after Melee, every single new Smash game has a different VA for Fox/Falco. Why is Nintendo so insistent on NOT using the VAs from SF64?

Even if those SF64 VAs are unavailable, why do they keep getting new and very different ones every game?

Fox is voiced by his Star Fox 64 voice actor, and that was the same case for Smash 4 and again in Ultimate.
Mark Lund took over from Bill Johns for Falco in Star Fox 64 3DS. He reprises his role in Smash 4, Zero, and now Ultimate.
Wolf is voiced by his Star Fox 64 voice actor.

So the answer the question: They didn't change voice actor from Smash 4 to Ultimate. It's merely a new direction.
The Star Fox series changed voice actors between Star Fox 64 and Assault, but reverted back with the remaster of Star Fox 64. This explains the change between Melee to Brawl and then Brawl to Smash 4/Ultimate.

Fox has (unfortunately) been voiced by his original voice actor since Star Fox 64 3D. It’s kind of hard to miss that, considering that it’s been that way for like, four games.
