4th of july is me at my mom's house in between 3 parks, one school, and a graveyard. There I am cold wrapped in a blanket as the fireworks expode so loud I can feel it from a mile away as car alrams go off, bugs biting me as I try to see the brillant blue or red sky turning my so the tree isn't in the way.

Of all the 6 years of seeing them here i've always wanted to go closer to see where they came from. I got up and looked as I saw cars driving down long fellow dr. As I reached the point where the police blocked off the road I heard people yelling USA, USA at the top of their lungs. To me as I walked back the 4th isn't about freedom, summer, or fireworks. But it's saving the little bit of good left in the world and letting us all enjoy what we can together.

I just shoot off fireworks, scream "America," and embrace my inner hillbilly.
