There have been a few Amiibo tournaments here and there from what I hear.

I'm sure it'd be a fun, goofy thing to do on the side of any smash 4 tournament. The only issue is that set ups for this game are already expensive, so it would be hard to set aside resources it for it.

I would be okay with it being a Side-event of some sorts, though I'd prefer to do a "Team Match" with my Amiibo than a full on Amiibo only event.

There are smaller amiibo tournaments that already exist as side events but I'd love to actually have some of my amiibos to compete in them. I love collecting amiibos and training them up to level 50. Having them face off in a tournament with other people's amiibos would be really fun to watch.
