What if a wierd 3rd party makes it like Mickey Mouse - he was on NES

Notice all the characters on the old Nintendos such as the Looney Tunes and all the Disney Series (Tailspin, Ducktales, Chip N' Dale, etc.). Also to note TMNT, Ghostbusters, GI Joe, Friday the Thirteenth, Aliens, Predator, Jurassic Park, Star Trek and several other television/movie characters made NES games.

What if some popular wierd character makes it? (I know this won't happen, I am just really board and thought it was funny how expansion the requirements for third party could be).

Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny would draw major attention to Brawl but their chances of making it are .000000001 % a piece.

ah!! what a blast from the past. i loved playing that mickey mouse game growing up where you had to find the letters and make simple 3-4 letter words out of them. great game, but mickey mouse (or anyone else you mentioned) isnt known for their video games. the only way i can see them working is if you put the NES version of mickey into the game, because if you use a current model, well, that represents disney world and all that stuffand not the video game. but, to be fair, i had a dream once awhile ago where i was playing brawl and mickey mouse made his appearence as a playable character. he rode in on a train in the middle of a multi player battle and then after that he was playable. so theres a chance?

Yeah there is a chance for a lot of wierd 3rd parties more popular for TV/Hollywood then for Video Games.

Star Wars also rings a bell as being on a lot of Nintendo systems.

If they added say Bugs Bunny or Luke Skywalker, the hype for Brawl would become greater then Halo, no doubt.

If he makes it into Brawl, I would enrol in a 5 year games development course at my uni specifically to learn how to edit existing games discs and deleting characters from them.

That would probably set me back £15,000 in tuition fees and at the end I'll probably just end up fudging up my Brawl disc. That means that because of Mickey, I would have wasted 5 years of my life, be in serious debt and be majorly pissed off.

Yeah. He really shouldn't be in this game.

I no that none of these characters will make it, I am just pointing out how broad the character selection actually could be. Plus using dumb arguments on this board... Bugs and Mickey would be practically confirmed.

They are
1. Unique
2. Very popular
3. Have a very large fanbase
4. Main characters in their games/series
5. Would be huge for brawl

I'm sure there are other copyright issues that would have to be worked out. Someone out there probably owns Bugs and Mickey Mouse. Maybe they'd have to ask permission from Disney or whomever owns Bugs now to do it.

But you know what? They won't. Because they aren't known as videogame characters. Sure, they have videogames, but their origins or reasons for popularity isn't their videogames they produce.

We already know that there won't be any characters that aren't originally video game characters, and that there will only be game characters that have been on a Nintendo console before.

The weirdest characters we could be seeing are the likes of Cloud (Kingdom Hearts - CoM) or a Worm (Worms Open Warfare). These characters, however are as close to impossible as makes no odds.

Mickey Mouse is an impossibility. There are too many threads of this nature. This should be closed.
