What happened to in-depth character guides?

I loved during the Brawl days being able to look up in-depth analysis of every character - everything from move damage to frame data for every single attack. Why is that no longer the case for ultimate? What happened to all the character guides?

Discord took over. Now you just join a discord, then whatever questions you have on a matchup, just ask and get an instant answer for the most part. Or hope someone very good at the game releases something on Youtube.

I can't say I agree as it's not easy to search discord, but it seems to be the way things are going.

While discord might be a good option, it vastly depends on the activity of the users at that very ymoment. US players might get good and fast responses, but everywhere else in the world the time zone is different - when they are interested, not many might be online.
I guess that's how it is today...

What a bummer. Having a quick reference for things such as a characters fastest attack or strongest throw was so useful. Never would have expected resources would become worse for a more popular game =/

Yeah i agree I miss that. Some of the character forumns feels empty because they are barely ever any new topics or post even. Feels wierd like you considering this is perhaps the most popular smash in ages.

I mean, the wiki has most of the data you're talking about. Just not frame data. Would be a cool thing to add there.
