Like do you use Y to jump and R to cancel, or what. I'm just starting on WDing so i need to know the so called 'proper' (if there is one) of the hand movements. I use ICs. I can wavedash pretty good but i'm restarting on WDing so I can get my hand movements good. Thanks!!:)

Whichever you are more comfortable with I personally jumo with "Y" and then I air dodge diagonally with "L". Also I think I am one of the few people who doesn't switch buttons when I am wavedashing out of shield, I block with L and then release jump and WD with L again I think it would be slightly easier if I used R too block but it isn't too big of a deal as long as you are still doing it at optimum speeds.

- Also this is more of a general question than an IC question and also more a Luigi character specific board than an Ice Climber one haha.

TY!! But I know I should have put this in Luigi or General, but its different with ICs (the timing for WDing) so I wanted a answer from a good ICs player-and look what I got-One of the best IC players on the forum!! LOL!! ty again.

I WD with Y and R. I don't get how people can use X or Y and L. It seems so difficult to coordinate the timing between two hands. I do everything with R except for L-cancels.

I WD with X and R. The only thing my left hand does is control the analog and taunt.

i use whichever the top jump button is (i don't know the difference between X and Y :( ) and R

it's definitely easier to have precise WD-ing if you use one hand instead of two... i guess i also use the top jump button because it's closer to R, but i'm pretty sure i could adapt to use the other one with no issues
