What exactly is the hitbox of the dair?

But me and a friend were doing Ike v Ganon, and when we both spiked ( I was above Ganon, lowest point maybe at his chest), we both died. This led me to wonder how big that hitbox actually was.

It is pretty large vertically, but horizontally not so much. I'm pretty sure the hitbox goes up to his chest, which is extremely awesome. If you shac dair underneath the battlefield platforms, you will hit the people on the platforms with the dair.

It is quite nice for landing some major damage. Dair to dair, the second one sends them on the plat, then dair again through the plat. Boom, 3 dairs.
