What does Japan think of competitive play? Or Melee vs Brawl?

Not sure if this is the most appropriate place to ask, but I believe it directly relates to how Sakurai will develop SSB4.

And please, don't complain about SSB4 or start actually discussing Melee vs Brawl, this is about what Japan thinks about competitive play in general.

Something like that, yes. Wouldn't be surprised that's where FD mode came from.

It's my understanding that the FD mode did come from the Japanese competitive scene.
