I think that is part of it. I think it is also because of the tier list. People have spent so much more time on characters like Fox, Marth, Sheik etc etc that people don't try giving G&W a chance. With less people playing him, less technical skill and combos and everything are developed. People play him even less because there is less to reference and the G&W board only having 5 different posts. He has disjointed hitbox, combos, random moves, a wonderful f-air, good wavedash, the manhole!
is it the weight, creepy defences, the roll and the fact that he can't l-cancel three of his air moves?
Lol I call it traps.lol, I always called it "The Floorboard!"
Wicked true. (No I'm not from Boston)The only people that lose with G&W, don't l-cancel <.<
I agree whole heartedly. Eventually falcon knee and fox/falco shine spiking get old and way too overused. Who ever REALLY expects to be flag juggled, 'chuted, and then a chase off to land a perfect judgment 9 to kill them on the other end of the stage and still recover? Anyone but Falcon (punch...)But for real, he is by far the most fun character to play and sometimes I die because I am laughing too hard when I do some of his moves lol
The timing is weird and hard to get used to because the pan sort of cancels your jump. So you have to be above them when you do the attack.I WISH I could pan spike...for some reason I just can't pull one off...X_X its detrimental to my system really.
He's also really light... that's a weakness.
And his grab range sucks. And he has a bad roll.
