What do you think of combined tourneys?

Would you participate in a 3ds and Wii U tourney?

Instead of having Smash for Wii U tourneys or Smash for 3ds Tourneys why not just have Smash 4 tourneys? This could be an interesting idea for stages and counter picks. What do you think? Lets say the loser of round one decides that they want to switch versions and counter pick a stage across versions? This could make for interesting competition. Maybe some character exploits will be different or absent from the separate versions. Could this add depth to counter picks and stage choice?

I am sure someone, somewhere will try this at least once, but it's a huge hassle and you'd have to integrate two different stage lists. Streaming would be a nightmare. No one is going to regularly attend a tournament that would require practice across two different games.

I think the hardest part about this is the controls. Many people won't want to play with a really small screen on a really small "control".

Unless you connect the 3DS to a TV screen, but then you would also need to connect the controllers to each 3DS (is that even possible?). And then even if you do connect the controllers then what is the point? Just extra stages? Seems like a lot of trouble for a couple extra stages.
