Not counting the obvious choices of Environmental Noises and French No Uta, I'd have to say Kongo Jungle (Melee) / DK 64 Rap. I know that has nostalgic value for a lot of people, but I always found it obnoxious and never played on that stage because of it.

My least favorite song...? I dunno, like 90% are great. Probably Try, Try Again with the ****tiest remix ever.

It's pretty bleh and I just don't understand why it's in the game. It's so unfitting for a game where all kinds of fictional characters pummel the crap out of each other. So much so that it's almost funny. Almost.

Tane No Uta or w/e that japanese Pikmin song is called in Brawl, it doesn't fit in a fighting game at all, and on top of that it's an incredibly generic and boring song already. I'm also a bit iffy on some of those Sonic rock songs.

The entire Distant Planet playlist is pretty boring (no offense to Pikmin players), as are all of the non-Dr.-Mario choices for Pictochat.

A lot of Sonic's music really should have been remixed/upgraded, too.

Ashely's Song is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine, cheesiness factor included.

There wasn't a song in Brawl (or any Smash game for that matter) that had me cringing. But there's certainly a lot of lackluster ones. French Ai no Uta, Environmental Noises, 3D Hot Rally, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, Shaberu! DS Cooking Navi, etc.

I'm not so much bothered with songs like 25m or the picks for Mario Bros., as those songs are for pure atmosphere. Bland songs to compliment the arcade charm of their home stages.

I think Electroplankton is the worst music in any SSB game. Electroplankton is not music, it's not even delightful ambient background noises like Environmental Noises is. Electroplankton is like walking up to your mates fish tank and listening to it. It's worse than boring.

I told you people that Brawl had a crappy soundtrack, as well as a crappy soundFONT.

Whether they're songs that were butchered compared to the original(Stickerbrush Symphony, 02's Domain, Marx), Add too much to a simple tune(most Pokemon Music, Luigi's Mansion's Main Theme, most Star Fox music), changed the tone of the music(Revenge of Meta Knight, 02's Domain), doesn't fit the tone of fighting combat and battles(Pikmin and Animal Crossing's entire list, All music in Pictochat), or just reused laziness(Sonic the Hedgehog's entire soundtrack, Rainbow Route, The arcade stages, Brawl's main theme).

I still say the original SSB had the best soundtrack, soundfont, & tunes.

This one was actually one of my favourite songs personally. Not only because I'm a Mother / EarthBound fan, but it was also a fitting song to play in the background while you trolled the living **** out of the other 3 Taunt Party players (I was one of those players who would try to fight them anyway, and then spam New Pork City when they'd gang up on me) by just running all over the massive New Pork City map until the time ran out.

For me, the worst had to be the Waiting Room music in Brawl. That bloody song played during so many bad memories of "Error [insert # here] occurred".

EDIT: Electroplankton gets an honourable mention too.

Bleh, Midna's Lament, Calling to the Night, the instrumental version of Snake Eater, and almost anything from Sonic.

Sonic could have a much better sound track selection and Snake Eater should have the lyrics.

Midna's Lament and Calling to the Night can be replaced fully.

Not only it's a terrible remix that gives none of the feel of the original song (seriously, even in 8-bit it felt epic, upbeat and adventurous) but it barely even uses the actual melody at all, it's far, far more of a remix of the overworld theme to the point I'm not even sure why they called it that.

I was super hyped the first time I saw this song on the list, I had been wanting to hear a remastered version of that theme for ages.

But then I heard it and turned it off immediately, such a huge freaking waste.

Seven Rings in Hand. I think it was looped and that takes away a lot from it even if it's silly and sometimes incomprehensible. For a comparison, Brawl Verison and Original.

Similarly, His World (Instrumental). I don't know, but the instrumental used in the vocal version just sounds much better - it's probably the usage of stringed instruments. If anything Sonic '06 did well, it was the music and that's just a thing Sonic games usually do well no matter how cheesy. Original Version here. I'm going to assume copyrighting prevented these two awesome songs from making it completely.

Corneria is great, but it does get annoying after a while. I blame Samurai Warriors's techno tracks. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about Dynasty Warriors's and Samurai Warriors's use of rock and techno as background noise. Not music, but noise so you don't get bored after massacring thousands of grunts over and over. It plagues Hyrule Warriors where I think after a certain point, the main themes of the areas - which are great - get replaced by this looped, electric guitar, hype BS. It takes away from the great music used for each stage. What were they thinking? Anyway, I digress, here's the SNES version of Corneria which I just listened to my first time and holy 8-bit glory! Where have you been in my life?! This is like the awesome Battletoads tracks ProtonJonSA used for the 4-player Battletoads race torture run! Huh, that reminds me of Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken's/Blazing Sword's tracks and they were amazing.

I'm inclined to agree. Most other songs have a pretty good reason to be there, but that's easily the most botched song in Smash.

And guys? Electroplankton doesn't count, it's not a song. It's stage sound effects.

Also wondering what's with the Try, Try Again hate? Not the best, not the worst. Fitting for a fairly lax stage like that.

I can't stand Porky's theme in Brawl. Absolutely the worst. It's weird cuz I do like the original version in Mother 3.
Also Venom's theme is such a bore compared to Corneria's theme.
