What do you think about Amiibo tournaments?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to think about this, but does anybody else think Amiibo tournaments would be interesting to watch?

I think it would be pretty cool to watch an Amiibo I trained duke it out with another person's Amiibo. It's like the Smash version of boxing.

My only complaint is lengthy matches that often go no where...I have had my amiibos fight in an eight minute 4 stock match and them manage to go the entire thing without taking a stock from each other...most of the time they were often running around or throwing projectiles or something.

Well, people really get into watching sports on TV, so I imagine anyone could also get into rooting for their Amiibo.

Hmm. Actually, the problems with amiibos such as input reading and dealing more damage when leveling up are counteracted when both opponents are amiibos. I would find it interesting, and I'm sure many others would too.

At a Smash tourny, there could be a side event for the amiibos to fight. All you need is one person to put the amiibos on in the correct order and record the results. Would be pretty fun, and very little effort. This could happen at the same time as the players' tournament.
