So this might be frowned upon, but I'm basically trying to do a different version of Project M. My own version. I've been using Project M as a base in an attempt to teach me about making custom movesets and all the crazy things P:M can do. Basically at the end I want to have something that is similar to P:M, but original in it's own right - of course with credit given where credit is due - and maybe by the end it will be so much more different from P:M, that you won't notice. (Actually I kind of want to get a mix of P:M and B- going, but I digress.)
So I've been messing around with Charizard a lot. Trying to get a Ridley PSA. And well, I've got my Custom #1 slot running on the P:M gct with each and every file and folder exactly the same, but with some very experimental PSAs placed over top the original P:M PSAs.
Finally I said "screw all this" and filled my custom #2 slot with some hodgepodge franken-gcts taken from Phantomwings and the Wiird code database. This gct includes the Independent Pokemon Engine. I copy pasted my fighter files from my custom #1 folder, and put them in the custom #2 slot. This somehow miraculously worked - to a degree, but my characters T-stance on certain moves. (Charizard and Squirtle's Down B, and Ivysaur's Nuetral B. Squirtle and Ivysaur both T-stance until attacked, while Charizard's animation just T-stances, but he can move afterwards.) Now this makes absolutely no sense since the only Pokemon I've actually worked on is Charizard, and I've BARELY done anything with him. The other two characters are identical to their Project M counterparts, so far. And yet if I copy and paste my PT fighter files from my Project M folder directly into custom #2, the game freezes upon character selection (as is the natural order of things).
Also for some reason PSA is able to open Ivysaur from my P:M folder but not from custom #1 or custom #2. Is there some kind of memory leak or something from all the copying and pasting?
