Smash Wii U What challenges are you considering skipping or already skipped?

We all know that Smash for Wii U shoves many difficult challenges in our faces. However, we're lucky enough to get 5 Hammers. These hammers will let you skip most challenges in the game. What challenges might you use the hammers on? My list is in the spoiler below:

Play as and score 4 or more KO's in a single solo Cruel Smash: Unless there is some easy way to beat this challenge (somewhat like the Lucina challenge), I am not going going back to Cruel Smash. Ever.

Clear Solo Classic in 12 minutes at intensity 9.0 as : There is no way I can do this. I can hardly beat 9.0 anyway.

Clear All-Star on hard difficulty with all the characters: I can't even beat normal with characters like .

Start the final battle with 10 fighters in Smash Tour: Since Smash Tour is luck-based, this is almost impossible.


One of these three:

Collect all of the special moves, collect all of the the custom headgear, Clear Classic at 9.0 without customs: These three challenges will take a lot of time to complete.

I hate to tell you this, but that challenge is inevitable. ALL challenges that require you to use an unlockable character are immune to Golden Hammers, so you can't escape doing Lucina's challenge at all.

Break 50,000 blocks in trophy rush
Get all the Mii hats
Get all the special moves

I hate to tell you this, but that challenge is inevitable. ALL challenges that require you to use an unlockable character are immune to Golden Hammers, so you can't escape doing Lucina's challenge at all.

Yeah, but for now I can just rudely scowl at it.

I got the 50,000 block challenge while trying to beat the Dr. Mario Fever Rush Challenge.

Lucky for you, there's an easy way to do this.

So far, I've only skipped the challenge where you have to beat Classic mode on 9.0 as Marth in 12 minutes. I dislike playing as Marth to begin with, and trying to complete Classic mode on the highest difficulty in such a short time span seems to be virtually impossible, so from my perspective, whoever decided on that particular challenge comes across as sadistic.

Go for it. Your last few challenges will likely feel tedious, but in the end, it is worth it. My final challenge to conquer was beating All-Star on Hard with the entire cast, which admittedly took the better portion of January to pull off. If you think you are just about to conquer your final challenge without hammers, record it for the history books.

Then the fun just begins. Go for some high scores, create your own challenges, like beating Classic 9.0 with the entire cast, or just take a well-deserved vacation for a while. :-)

I finally caved in and used a hammer on the "Clear All-Star on Hard with everyone" challenge. I can't do it for the life of me. So many times I tried to clear All-Star on Hard as DK and all that happened was failure, FAILURE FAILURE every time.

I'm thinking if I should use the hammer in "Clear All-star with Hard Difficulty with all Characters" but I've finished every character except for ****ing Olimar! I just can't do it I can only reach up to Falco, Fox and Metaknight. Another challenge I'm deciding if I should use the hammer is the "Get all the Headgear" because I've been playing crazy orders for a week now and I still don't have 5 headgears!

As far as headgear is concerned, try my newest glitch to rig Master orders to your favor. I seem to get several headgear here, despite having collected them all. If you just need a few headgear, I'd recommend Target Blast with a Mii fighter, continually pausing at the beginning to see if there is a wrench icon in the field. Retry over and over until you see one, and blast away.

Clearing Classic at intensity 9.0 without losing a single life is immune to Golden Hammers, so your only other option is the challenge where you need to collect all the Mii headgear.

The only one I'm considering is the one that requires all custom movesets, because I want that equipment.

The others? Meh. I'd rather keep the hammers for bragging rights. (As in, "I beat the challenges without using hammers!")

I managed to get all the challenges without using hammers. If i would have used hammers i'd use them to quickly unlock stages or pokemon or actual game relevant unlocks. It's pretty pointless using a hammer on a challenge just because it's too hard, because most of the hard ones just unlock a trophy or a piece of equipment. Personally i'd rather be missing a peice of equipment that i'd never use than never be able to 100% the game.
If the question is more referring to which challenge is the most annoying to complete, than there's no question "complete all star on hard with every character". It is not only the hardest challenge because of characters like Olimar and Wii-fit, but it's also the longest and more boring. But like i said before, it only unlocks a trophy, so hammering it just to get a trophy seems like a bad idea. The most daunting challanges like "beat classic on 9.0 without losing a life" and "beat 9.0 with marth under 12 minutes" are actually not as bad as they seem. Sure it's frustrating to get to the end and fail, but if you look up good equipment builds it's not as tough as it seems.

Verdict: Don't use hammers just to quickly unlock a peice of equipment you don't even want.

I'm missing just 4. I don't care about beating them because it's honestly simply not fun at all. I used the hammer for all the challenges that unlock interesting stuff anyway, the ones I'm missing just unlock useless equipment, who cares.
Of course one of them is beating Classic at difficulty 9 without dying. Also the beating Classic at 9 in less than 12 minutes with Marth. Didn't even try these ones.
I'm also missing beating All-Star on hard with 8 characters which I'd probably be able to do but who cares (used the hammer on the one in which you have to beat it with ALL characters, simply crazy).
The last I'm missing is breaking 50.000 blocks on Trophy Rush. Every once in a while I do a rush just for the **** of it, eventually I'll beat this one. Is there a way to know how many I'm missing?

These are actually fairly easy even if annoying if you play with 4 controllers. The most annoying one is probably the Metroid challenge but it's doable. It's worth it for the unlockables and being able to simply never touch that mode again.

I'm missing one. If you made all the others without hammers I wouldn't use it on this one, but trust me, it's next to impossible. Game needs to be patched about this ****.
