Nothing wrong with that tbhI feel like this poll is a tool to potentially further the other discussion you started, honestly
Yep. I like making sure my opinions are as informed as possibleI feel like this poll is a tool to potentially further the other discussion you started, honestly
So you mean to tell me that you've been...triggered?I use Z to jump and I feel marginalized by this poll.
I just spent the day trying to do Z jumps and Y grabs. It was a massive failure for me. The standard controls are just so engrained in my head that I was thinking 10x faster than my fingers.I have jump mapped to A and Z on a GCN controller, but primarily use A. This is my control setup
AZ = Jump
B = Special
XY = Smash
L = Grab
R = Block
I prefer control setups that make Smash Bros. feel more like a traditional platformer. Also, I always set tap jump to off.
I gave up 3 times while trying to retrain myself. It takes a good 3 hours of just jumping and moving around to start to get a feel for it.I just spent the day trying to do Z jumps and Y grabs. This is exactly the same for me. I've played casually for like 14 years but only learned about competitive smash last August. De-trained tap jump in October, then switch to Z in February.Maybe it was just less ingrained for me because I'd only retrained myself to not tap jump about 4 or 5 months before (I only discovered the competitive scene early this year), but it didn't take me too long. Maybe three or four hours, but after day 2 it was fine.
