This thread was made to go along with:
- What Beta and 1P Stages could've been playable in VS mode? (Smash 64).
- What Beta and 1P Stages could've been playable in VS mode? (Melee).

What if during the development of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the director Masahiro Sakurai decided to add some of the Beta or 1-player stages to Multi-player mode. They would all be accessible on the stage select screen in addition to the Multi-player stages already available and all stage glitches such as freezing, bad spawn locations, timer issues, etc. would be patched/ fixed for VS mode use and training mode use. Which of the following Beta or 1-player stages would you like to have playable in multi-player mode in addition to the stages already available?

Beta Stages
Beta Battlefield
Notice how there aren't any platforms visible. Could this be an "Omega" like stage without platforms? Probably not because the dog is most likely blocking them from view.
Note: This is a scene from the 2006 trailer. Notice how Snake's box is located at a normally inaccessible part of the stage.
Beta Shadow Moses Island
Note: An early screen shot of Shadow Moses Island, depicting a location inaccessible in the final version of the game.
GROUP stages
Custom Stages
Sample Stages
Note: many people delete these stages due to them taking up unwanted space or so they can download a mod that requires them to be deleted such as Project M. Because these stages can be deleted in Vanilla Brawl they are categorized as Non-Playable Stages.
Sample S: Hole
Note: Sample S: Hole is the small size example. Its layout consists of two main towers with a hole in the middle, owing to its name.
Sample M: Bath
Sample M: Bath is mainly a U-shape, with the only exits being the top opening and a lone Drop Block on the left side. The right side is slightly elevated. It is the medium size example.
Sample L: Maze
Sample L: Maze is the example of a large stage. It is a very complex stage, with many moving platforms and a few Drop Blocks.
Other
Note: There are many possible stages that can be made using stage builder.

Many sections of stages from previous Subspace Emissary stages have been recreated into sections of The Great Maze.
See here for more details.
Vs. Stages; Subspace clone battles
The Great Maze includes a series of fights with various Smashers as enemies on several unique stages, which all comprise a large bottom platform and various smaller platforms in unique combinations. This page is a gallery of these stages.
Mario
Luigi
Note: A completely flat stage with no floating platforms. The only stage to resemble Final Destination.
Peach
Bowser
Yoshi
Note: Resembles the platform layout of Yoshi's Island (SSB).
Wario
Donkey Kong
Note: Somewhat resembles Kongo Jungle, but with extra platforms.
Diddy Kong
Link
Zelda
Ganondorf
Samus
Note: Resembles the platform layout of Planet Zebes.
Kirby
While it could be based on Dream Land, its layout is generic.
Meta Knight
King Dedede
Fox
Resembles the layout of Lylat Cruise, but with the thin platforms spread further out.
Falco
Pikachu
Pokémon Trainer
Note: Stage layout resembles Pokémon Stadium.
Lucario
Captain Falcon
Ness
Lucas
Ice Climbers
Marth
Ike
Mr. Game & Watch
Pit
Olimar
R.O.B.
Snake
Tabuu's Residence
Note: It is very similar to Final Destination, consisting only of one similarly long and purple platform, though slightly longer and differently patterned (with a central design similar to that on Tabuu's wings); and with its own background visuals.
Boss Battle
Note: all of the Boss Battle Stages appear at least once somewhere in Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary.
Boss Battle: Petey Piranha
Note: This Stage is the same as the "How To Play" video stage and the Midair Stadium in the Subspace Emissary. It's also similar to Pokemon Stadium 2, but without platforms.
Boss Battle: Rayquaza
Note: this stage is the exact same as The Lake in Subspace Emissary.

Target Smash!!
See here for more details on Target Smash!!.
Target Smash!!: Level 1
Note: This is a simple course, with very large targets, all near each other. It appears to be set in The Lake.
Target Smash!!: Level 2
Note: This is somewhat more complex. There are various high cliffs that have Targets at the top. There are also items scattered around the stage. It appears to be set in The Wilds.
Target Smash!!: Level 3
Note: This stage is unique as it has a slide launcher, a spring, as well as a conveyor belt. It is set in a partial Box. It too has items. It appears to be set in The Swamp.
Target Smash!!: Level 4
Note: This level is icy, causing players to slip. Most of the targets move, often requiring perfect timing to complete fast enough. There is one non-moving target that is very difficult to get, located at the bottom right of the stage, and for some characters, it has to be gotten last. This stage has no items. It appears to be set in the Glacial Peak or in Summit.
Target Smash!!: Level 5
Note: This is the final Target Smash level. It has small targets, spikes, springs, items, and moving platforms. It appears to be set in the Ruins. Pikachu is a good option for this level because a lot of its moves will help get targets like the one on the far right.

There are many more Subspace Emissary stages that I missed due to them being small sections of large stages. Please let me know if you have a picture of one of them that I missed.

Here are some neutral multi-player stages if they were frozen in time:
Pokemon Stadium 2 (Without Transitions)

WarioWare, Inc. (Without Transitions)

If only someone could hack most of these neutral stages into multilayer mode. *HINT* HINT* *WINK* *WINK* ;)
