Based on that other thread, the "What Game Over screens scare you the most".
Instead of talking about your punishment for failing a game, let's talk about the reward you get for finishing them. What are your favourite endings in the games you have played?
Personally, these are my favourites:
Simple ending from a game I've been playing for as far back as I remember. I like the calm music, it's pretty relaxed when compared to how action packed the game is before. It feels really satisfying.
Couldn't leave this one out. Finishing this game for the first time felt like such an accomplishment, for me, and sure, nowadays I can finish SMW with all 96 exits in an afternoon if I wanted to, but even then, I'll never get tired of watching this ending. God, that music.

I have more, but those two are my favourites.

There are more of these endings that I really like but five of the videos is worth mentioning to look at.

The ending to Fallout has always been one of my favorites.

For context, you spend the first part of the game looking for a replacement water purification chip for your vault, since yours has stopped working. After you get that sorted out, you have to uncover the source of the Super Mutant army and destroy it to protect your vault (and the rest of the human race). This is what your vault overseer says when you return home.

If you have the Bloody Mess perk, or if you have evil karma, your character blows him to pieces with a pistol. I never liked that version, though. Besides, the rest of the vault kills him anyway, according to Fallout 2.

MGS3 is also a classic.
