What are tips in the Peach MU?

Just realize that peach has no rest punish. Like none. As long as you aren't at something like 120% you can risk doing dumb rests. The only possible early percent punish is: Stitch, bomb, or turnip into upsmash/ uair (Percent and DI dependent). You can also easily edgeguard peach as her float can only go forward and backward so there is no weaving around the bair. If you get to their height its very easily baired. Also you are one of the few character that doesn't care for peach pressure as you are normally in the air and not shielding.

I wouldn't suggest going for dumb rests, seeing as though peach does not have the greatest rest punish, but a creative peach can tack on TONS of percent. This video doesn't account for DI, but some of these punishes are still super bad for puff:

Edit: Here is another video of punishes to show how resting too much is a bad option:

The reason people say the MU is in puff's favor is because Peach is slow in the air and Puff can easily catch her movement. Yeah, rests are not as risky, but your best friend in the MU is bair. If you continually throw out bairs, it is very difficult for a Peach to get in. Crouch canceling against Peach is just about the worst thing you can possibly do unless you are sure a dash attack is coming. Rest oos from a dash attack is pretty easy too. I'd say this is a MU where it is better to be the aggressor, because even though turnips aren't crazy hard to avoid, it is best if you make it so that she can't pull any. Basically, stay in the air + bair + easier edgeguards = reason Armada picked up Fox for Hbox.

Always be near peach, and punish if she pulls turnips. If you play only spacing and passive the matchup will be more even if she can pull turnips. Playing a mixture of aggressive and passive will work well. Also if the peach player can constantly Nair OOS then you can bait it by spacing Bair then punishing. Also my fav thing to do against peach is Nair -> Rest works well at low percents and if they do not expect it can get early kills.

Play neutral with bairs very good. If your bair is fully staled and they are low% since you just killed them then either start using other moves or keep bairing if hes actually never touching you. Just bully and stay close while not literally beside them

Bair is your best friend vs peach. You should be using bair 60-70% of the time. Practice mixing up bair timings and getting the full hop double bair (L-canceled) PERFECTED. This requires lab time, even though it's simple, so i'd recommend practicing it by yourself with no CPU (just plug in another controller for p2 so u dont have to worry about annoying CPU chasing you) and grind out your bair mixups (EVERY DAY!). Try to stay close to peach, also don't challenge her on the ground very often. ALSO THERE ARE RESTS! Idk what these people are talking about. If peach dash attacks your shield just rest oos. Very easy and effective (a good peach won't do it often however). Another common rest is when peach tech-rolls (or just rolls) towards you. Idk why but peaches seem to love rolling towards, so learn the distance of her roll and rest it. LAST THING, DOWN AIR IS AWESOME! When peach is from 50-120(ish) percent, Dair--->Grab (at lower percents), Dair-->Up Smash, and sometimes Dair-->Rest work sooo well! Practice against a cpu to get the L-cancel timing down, also you need to hit peaches lowest hurtbox in order to get her in the tripping animation to make the setup guaranteed.

In general, spacing is very important, try to find some videos of hungrybox wrecking mid level peaches to get an idea of the spacing. Don't go fishing for rests, let them come to you (unless your down 3 stocks and need to make a miracle comeback). There's more to this MU but that's the gist of it.
