By "worst reasons", I mean reasons that make no logical sense. Stuff like "But *character* is too big!", "He'd/she'd/it'd be too broken because *easily workaroundable reasons*!" or "*other character* is way better of a fit than *character* because he/she/it's *insert arbitrary reasoning*!"
I should note that this thread is not for soapboxing. If you have a beef with a character who people want in the game, this thread isn't for getting onto your soapbox and yelling about them being "impossible". That's just being a colossal **** to people who actually want someone like Ridley to be playable in a Smash game, and I'd like this thread to be polite discussion.
For me, size is the worst reason to decry someone like, say, Ridley, because scale in Smash Brothers always has been horrifically inconsistent; the 3'7'' Charizard stands at almost the same height as the 12' Bowser, the 0.052'' Olimar is at elbow height to the 4' Mario, who is, in turn, almost 3/4 the size of the 6'3 Samus Aran. Ridley himself has gone from 12' to a whopping 24' in height in Smash...and even in the Metroid series, Ridley's size is inconsistent; sometime's he's only twice as big as Samus, other times he dwarves her. Similarly to Bowser, Ridley's size depends on the plot; if they need him to be massive enough to dwarve Samus, he is. But if they need him to be small enough to fit on screen at all times, he can also be that.
But with all that said, have at it! Lambast the most ridiculous reasons you know of to deny a character into Smash.
