I've been trying to compile a good list of the techniques along with a tutorial. I figured someone else has already made one but I haven't been able to find it.

To clarify I mean things like Instant dash attacks, dash cancels, ect. Not basic stuff that everybody already knows.

EDIT: Adding in the mechanics video, although it's mostly on edge mechanics.

Know which of your moves kill at higher percentage, and learn how to get good at landing them. Not knowing leads to racking up lots of damage, but failing to take any stocks.

Don't forget about the rage quits. Extremely hardcore stuff right there.

DACUS hasn't been proven yet, since we cant do it without a c-stick.

Depending on your character choice you may want to look into pivot canceling (mostly if you're playing wii fit trainer).
Also depending on your character you should look into Up smash and Up special OoS (this one can work for a much larger portion of the cast).

Fortunately, no major game-shifting 'Advanced' (As in hard to do) techniques have popped up, right now the game only rewards you for fighting your opponent, not the controller.

Teching is also in the game, just press R when you land onto the ground or a wall while in tumble.

Somebody go through and delete half these ********-ass posts. Obviously thread was for discussion of advanced techniques as they crop up, and has been completely derailed by spam posts. Thanks to Staphf for not being either a troll or someone who thinks they're funny and original for littering threads that have legitimate potential with useless posts.

I saw some weird thing with Wario btw where he is able to have crazy momentum in the air out of hitstun. Don't know much about it though.

Yeah, those aren't advanced techniques.

The known advanced techniques I know thus far, are:
  • Vectoring
  • Glide Tossing
  • Teching
  • Pivot Cancel
That's about it so far, no one has found any other kind of AT's.

Really most of the important techs for this game, like in Brawl, are character-dependent. Vectoring is obviously the most basic and important universal tech, with teching just behind it. Item spawning characters will want to practice JCGT, and pivot cancelling is also something to practice. Instant ledge grab is a new one, and you can still do stuff like RAR and B-reversals/wavebounces. If you've mastered all the major Brawl ATs, you should be mostly fine in terms of overall tech skill, and just check out the character board for your main to find character specific stuff.

Not basic stuff that everybody already knows.
This probably needs a reminder since most people are posting spam in this thread.
