What about game mode DLC?

Every time someone mentions DLC, the only things brought up are characters and stages. I have never seen anyone discuss game mode DLC. Hyrule Warriors is currently getting free game mode updates, and the most recent one gave Japanese players a new challenge mode to play with. I wonder if Smash Bros. will be supported the same way. The developers could give us another fun game mode like Smash Run every couple months. Something to keep us playing.

What do you think? What would you like to see?

Stage DLC would be good the 3DS, because if the leak was true, we'd have no new 3DS stages for Metroid, Star Fox, DK, etc.

I'm fine with any sort of free DLC, and would pay for characters, music, or stages. Game modes, I might pay if they offer something I'm interested in (I'd pay in a heartbeat for Bonus Mode or a stamina stock mode), but unless they offered something particularly enticing, I'm still more likely to play regular Versus over all.

I actually fully support such an idea. Never really discussed it though. While I do have a dream game mode for Smash Wii U, it's probably too substantial to be DLC.

Characters and stages are higher on my priority list

But I'm really disappointed that the target mode this time around is Angry Birds. I always loved the target tests, in all three previous games. Hopefully at least the Wii U target mode is better. But that's a game mode DLC I'd want for sure in the 3DS version

I can see things like maybe new target smash stages or other challenge mode stages. But I can't see them creating entirely new modes for DLC. I think they'll stick to new characters and stages advertising other games coming out. (like a new zelda stage when Zelda U comes out)

Subspace Emmissary 2 please! If it's optional DLC, then the 'development time' whiners would finally shut up (Although they would still complain about Smash having a story mode like it should).
