There's a local tourney Sat. I'm entering.

Hell, I'm already dead.

Looks like it's going to be a training-intense week for me, but I won't be able to become awesome in that span. No, what'll save or damn me on Sat is how far I've already come, which I can't quite gauge. I'll be the wildcard, even to myself.

But I haven't been looking forward to this for weeks to back out now. Worst case, I'll be able to make local connections, which could get me some regular practice again. That's worth six to me.

As for the week:

01/31/12 No progress
02/01/12 No progress
02/02/12 Watched videos of ESAM.
02/03/12 Played a few rounds vs. Matt and James. At home, played a few rounds vs. CPU. Watched a few videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSspTn3yeXY (Pressure Wins Games), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-yKEeh70R8 (How to be the Best Player), and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqummot83IE (Your Human Potential). Read up some more on Marth in the process; at this point not sure about picking him up as a secondary because I can't use him incredibly well as opposed to, say, Lucario or Wolf, but not ruling it out either.
02/04/12 No progress
02/05/12 No progress

The other blog's got at least one interesting thing this week, assuming anyone cares.

Hm.

This is your first tournament, right?
If so, Same here. Same date. But no problem.

Be sure to practice.
And if all else fails, you can rise up again.

Well, the past Saturday i was in my first tournament :) I came into it with the same mindset, but about halfway through the pools i stopped trying to win and just had fun and get better. Out of the blue i won my next two sets. I'm not saying to not care about winning, if its your first tourny odds are you wont :|. But play to get better not to win, a specially if you know the opponent is better than you. also, ASK QUESTION! if they are better they probably can help you. If you only take one thing from this

ITS A VIDEO GAME, HAVE FUN!
