Now beofre you start flaming me let me show you something a qoute from sakurai from the main SSBB website. "There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar. They are from the same family of PK users" up until now if that isn't a hint that ness isn't brawl I don't know what is. Now this is probably old news. I am sorry if it is for some of you. But for those of you who have yet to hear this, oh well, looks like ness is out. Check the main website if you don't believe me. That is all I have to say now

You mean like the people that thought there would be 200+ target matches?
And the ones who thought ZSS was a completely separate character?
And the ones that thought ONE smash ball would appear per match?

Oh, those...

You're right, he didn't. I was just trying to add some comic relief.

Though I could see the ZSS one coming a mile away. The target test one also seems pretty clear, and filled with much more common sense than 200+ target tests. The Smash Ball one was indeed vague. Though I should have talked about Classic mode too... Oh well.

IMO, Lucas just seems so much cooler than Ness. I see those moves somehow matching with Lucas, more than they do with Ness... I guess I'm just weird like that...

Yeah that's weird cause neither of them have those moves, actually only PSI Magnet belongs to him.

Claus.
Also.

Alts would totally make sense.

Claus, not so much.

You see, Claus most likely,
With the new world remade, most likely came back to his original self, without armor, lightsaber, or anything.
So Claus wouldnt really make sense at all. Perhaps an AT? o_o

Oh yeah and he also died and that's why he can't be in Brawl...[/sarcasm]

You act as if they can't make an absent sillohuette though. Like in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix when Organization XIII members who died in Chain of Memories appeared

You missed my sarcasm code at the end and the fact that Claus is my most supported character to be in Brawl, of course
being dead
in their game doesn't deconfirm them in any way.

Even if Ness was in, I would still main Lucas over him since he's a much more awesome character. But Ness has been deconfirmed, thankfully, in which I won the fight.

I mean, Lucas has PK Freeze AND a rope snake. If Ness was in with all of his old moves, he'd just have his ****ty PK Flash and lack of a tether recovery. Lucas is definitely superior in every way to Ness both in the Mother series and in Smash Bros.

Your point?[/QUOTET]
That doesnt mean theat every chracheter without a "tether" recovery is inferior to lucas, and link, and samus does it? and i imagine pk freeze would freeze your opponent with considerable KB but i mean ness' pk flash has tremendous KB.... and who knows if lucas doesnt have a bat or a yo yo.... there are some GREAT advantagges with the bat and the yo yo ... but again its MY OPNION..... well seee when brawl comes out

No, but a tether recovery still makes a certain character have an advantage over another, so what's your point? Lucas has a tether recovery, Ness wouldn't, so logically that would make him superior in that area.

And PK Flash only did damage if you could specifically time it right. Instead, you got a move you can charge up and freeze someone easily, causing damage and the frozen aftereffect. That would also make Lucas superior to Ness, since his move is actually useful.

And I'm pretty sure Lucas will have a yo-yo AND a bat, like he does in Mother 3. I got nothing to prove it but it honestly would be logical and fitting. It's like Ness not having a yo-yo and bat.

yes!!!!!!!
Okay, you got me, I haven't played Earthbound in years so forgive my lack of knowledge at the moment.

But remember Lucas' strongest weapon is the Genuine Bat, which is basically a metal bat. Although if he wields a pole it'll be the same thing, the fact that he'll swing it and hit people with it, same concept.

I never really equipped him with the Genuine Bat though, getting the Mystical Scepter was a very long and boring thing to do, so I left him with that weapon for the rest of the game.

Well it took me a few minutes so I was lucky to get it, although you have to also remember that the Bogus Bat and the Genuine Bat are basically the only two weapons that are Lucas exclusive. All the other weapons can be equipped to Flint AND Lucas (although you really can't equip them unless you fiddle with the debug mode and have Flint as a party member in, say, the seventh chapter), so it kinda loses the exclusiveness of the whole concept.

Yeah you're right about that and the sticks and the bats would have the same use, so it doesn't really matter which one they choose in the end, they only use them in Mother 3 just to remind people of Ness and Ninten, the same way that Kumatora has an exclusive frying pan to remind people of Ana and Paula.
