Weird hitbox on ledge attack

I was playing For glory and Ike's ledge attack somehow hit under the stage when I was above it. I thought it could only hit in front of Ike on the stage.

Has anyone else found any attacks like this?

I call it "The Reverse Phantom *****-Slap"
Did it with Ganon the other day
