Weird encounter in FG?

Moments ago, I was playing FG on the 3DS. I found my best opponent, but there was something weird about how he played. He read almost all of my entire moves/approaches and almost always 2 stocked me. I couldnt even get him to 50% most of the time. Im not a bad player, im a very competitive player. I have 1,484 wins and 153 loses...but this guy...he played like an unbeatable CPU. Ive never seen anyone play that good besides ZeRo, but from the way this guy played, hes a better ZeRo imo (pls no hate). My question: is it possible to cheat in FG? Like using a modded 3DS? Or have I miraculously found the best player on FG for 3DS?

Dang, dude! That's a decent win / loss ratio.

Did you save the replay?

Who said I was great? Lol Im sure you sarcastically assumed im great just because i brought up my WL ratio? Nah. Im not the greatest player but I am good enough. Its just weird that someone on FG (especially on the 3DS) can play almost perfectly especially with mid tier characters because the guy played as Wii Fit Trainer, Pit, and Pacman.

There are some very good players on FG, and many of them main mid and low tier characters, so that on its own isn't enough to conclude that your opponent was cheating. Unless you either have a video of the match or give us a specific explanation of what happened, people are going to assume you are just making up excuses about losing.

From what I know, actual cheating is pretty rare online. The only time I have ever seen somebody cheat in a match myself was when I played against a Robin whose tomes and swords would immediately respawn after breaking.

The hardest method of cheating to detect (which the other person's described behavior matches up with, not to say it's likely that he's/she's doing so) would probably be managing to enable amiibos in online play. None of their inputs would actually correspond to illegal actions.
