I've been wanting to get my own custom GC controller for awhile and didn't know if there was a place where I can order or something. I'm to nervousr of screwing up a controler of my own. Also curios if custom controllers are allowed in tournaments or if it's just for fun.

Envy Gaming Gear and Evil Controllers are two big names that work on custom controllers and have good rep (in terms of reliability and stuff; they've each made custom controllers for several big name smashers)...but they're pretty expensive lol. Can't remember any off the top of my head, but there are DIY tutorials for customizing your own controller for much cheaper, and several artists have popped up on occasions to offer their services...not sure how reliable they were though, but it's an option to look into.

Thanks for the links. Also are custom controllers legal on the tourny circuit. Like if I were to make my own would it be legal?

They are just cosmetic customizations. they are legal.

Evil Controllers really isn't big on GCCs yet; there's no reason for them to put provide more features like visual+online+custom+preview thingies when you can just e-mail them:
